InsideMaps Website
A UX redesign that made a legacy website easier to navigate and the product easier to discover.

InsideMaps had a product worth discovering, but its website made that harder than it should have been. I led the redesign to help visitors understand what the product offered, find the right information, and move naturally toward signing up.
The Website Was Getting in the Way
Internal usability tests exposed a recurring problem: visitors struggled to navigate the site. Important information felt disconnected, and unclear paths made it difficult for newcomers to know where to go next. I saw an opportunity to fix the experience at its foundation, starting with the sitemap.
Fix the Structure Before the Screens
Find the Friction
I led an initial round of internal usability testing to identify confusing navigation patterns and gaps in the existing information architecture.

Rethink the Sitemap
I reorganized the site's structure around what visitors needed to find, making product information, resources, and pricing easier to discover.

The First Design Wasn't the Final One
Our initial layout wasn't working well enough. Rather than polishing the wrong direction, I returned to wireframes, built clickable prototypes, and used user testing to validate a second approach before moving into development.

Test the Journey, Not Just the UI
I tested the revised navigation with clickable wireframes, using feedback to refine how visitors moved between key pages and toward signup.

Make the Experience Work for More People
I considered keyboard navigation, accessible labels, color contrast, and touch targets to make the redesigned site easier to use across devices and abilities.

Build a System, Not Just Pages
I established a reusable design system using atomic design principles, helping the team build consistent interfaces and extend the experience more efficiently.

A Clearer Path From Visit to Signup
The project reported an 80% increase in user conversion and app downloads. The redesign aimed to connect the website and app into a more cohesive journey, helping visitors move from discovering InsideMaps to trying the product.
